The Cannabis Investor Forum are delighted to announce Hannah Deacon and Professor Mike Barnes will be speaking at the Cannabis Investor Forum this October.
Hannah Deacon and Professor Mike Barnes are members of the Medical Cannabis Clinicians’ Society and will be discussing the current state of the UK’s medicinal cannabis environment.
The Medical Cannabis Clinicians’ Society was established to provide education to clinicians on medicinal cannabis paying particular attention to the efficacy of cannabis. 
Hannah Deacon was instrumental in the first licensing of medicinal cannabis for her son Alfie, who suffers from severe epilepsy. Hannah has been campaigning for wider adoption of medicinal cannabis and has a deep understanding of the progress and challenges surrounding access to medical cannabis in the UK.
Her campaign to educate UK authorities on the benefits of cannabis in an effort to gain access to for her son was first brought into the public eye on the ‘This Morning’ television show in 2017.
Professor Mike Barnes is the chair of the Medical Cannabis Clinicians’ Society executive committee and a highly experienced neurologist consultant with 30 year experience.
He has experience in medical cannabis spanning some years having been involved with GW Pharma and the introduction of Sativex, the first cannabis-based medicine licensed in the UK for the treatment of MS.
As well as chairing the Medical Cannabis Clinicians’ Society, Professor Mike Barnes is the Chief Medical Officer of European Cannabis Holdings and Sol Global Investments.
